The IC-A120E radio is an apparatus for vehicle installation on ground vehicles or with certification for a fixed base station for airport use.
The dot matrix LCD display offers maximum visibility and simplified operations for a clear and immediate reading of the alphanumeric characters and icons displayed.
Storing channels and programming functions can be done easily from the front panel. It is also possible to limit the use of some functions through the radio settings.
Optional Bluetooth ® connection possible.
With the optional UT-133A Bluetooth® unit it is possible to use Bluetooth® headphones also produced by third parties. The side-tone function is also available with the optional VS-3 Bluetooth® headphones.
Side Tone
function When using a third-party headset with the optional OPC-871A adapter or via Bluetooth, the side-tone function allows you to monitor your voice through the connected headset. Even using a palm microphone, your voice can be controlled from the headphones.
Active Noise Suppression (ANC)
This new function within contained, allows to reduce the background noise in the transmission and reception signals. Particularly useful in the airport environment among the noises of the engines, the Automatic Noise Limiter (ANL) reduces the typical impulse noise when starting the engines. (The ANL and ANC functions cannot be used at the same time.)
Automatic scanning and Dualwatch functions with microphone attached
The ON-Hook scan function automatically activates scanning when the microphone is hung from its holder. The Dualwatch ON-Hook monitors the priority channel and the operating channel alternately when the microphone is hung. When the microphone is off-hook, scanning stops on the priority channel or the displayed channel. (as planned).
